Enjoy the great outdoors in beautiful Twenty Valley

After a long winter season now's the time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful fresh air and sunshine of spring! Escape to Twenty Valley where there are so many wonderful places to explore the great outdoors. This picturesque area, which embraces Lincoln's communities of Beamsville, Vineland and Jordan, is situated in Niagara's lush greenbelt. It is filled with natural beauty so you'll have fun exploring the area's rustic nature trails, premier golf courses, parks, beaches, and spectacular views.

If it's hiking you enjoy this is a great place for you! It's close to Canada's longest and oldest footpath - the Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment. There are many waterfalls along the Bruce Trail, where streams or rivers flow over the Niagara Escarpment. There is also the Twenty Valley Trail, a two-kilometre trail that stretches from Balls Falls Conservation Area to Lake Ontario and the Waterfront Trail. One of the best access points is from Jordan Historical Museum where hikers can take advantage of the wooden stairs to reach the trail.

You can also spend the day enjoying one of the area's beautiful parks, like Jordan Hollow Park, located just west of Jordan, crossing over Twenty Mile Creek. From there you can park your car and hike along the creek bank. If you get hungry, there are picnic tables to dine alfresco. And it's a pet-friendly park so bring them along too!

Spend the day at Ball's Falls Conservation Area. This gorgeous park offers spectacular scenery, natural beauty and reveals interesting traces of a mid-19th century industrial hamlet. From there you can view the Twenty Mile Creek plummet over both the upper and lower falls while hiking along the Twenty Valley. Don't miss a visit to the new Centre for Conservation. Another option is Charles Daley Park and Beach, a 22.5-acre waterfront park located on the North Service Rd. between Jordan Rd. and Seventh Street. The park has a playground, plenty of green space and two beaches. It is also a great spot for canoeists and hikers.

If it's golfing you desire, you will have an incredible golf experience in the Valley. Its breathtaking golf courses are top-rated in Niagara and are the perfect way to spend an afternoon outdoors. Courses include Peninsula Lakes Golf Club, Rockway Vineyards Golf, Wine, Dine and Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club.
